Trades and auctions

What each side gives, when a deal closes, and how to bid.

Make a clear offer anytime

Open a trade even when it is not your turn. Choose a player, the cash or properties you offer, and what you request. Both sides appear clearly before approval. An accepted offer transfers money and deeds immediately. An offer expires after two minutes; neither participant can join another simultaneous trade, while everyone else remains free to negotiate.

Buildings lock that country's deeds

If any city in a country has buildings, none of that country's cities can be traded until all its buildings are sold. Other undeveloped countries remain available. Before accepting, account for the value of a third city: completing a set doubles undeveloped rent and enables construction.

Live auctions

Declining an unowned property starts a center-board auction. Bid at least ten units above the current offer, never more than your cash balance. New bids refresh the countdown to let others respond. Buying below list price is attractive, but remember rent and building expenses after winning.
